Nearly 4,000 Pounds of Fresh Produce Delivered — and a Deeper Impact Beyond the Boxes

This holiday season, BLU4D2 Sports Collective proudly delivered nearly 4,000 pounds of fresh vegetables to Second Harvest of South Georgia, helping provide nutritious food to families across South Georgia. But the impact of this initiative went even further than the produce itself.

This effort was made possible through the Gabe Nabers Holiday Fresh Produce Initiative, an athlete-led campaign designed to create meaningful community change on multiple levels. Through this initiative, supporters were able to purchase fresh produce boxes either for personal use or specifically for donation. Every box purchased for donation was delivered directly to Second Harvest of South Georgia, where the vegetables will be distributed through food pantries, partner agencies, and community events serving families in need.

While the vegetables themselves went directly to Second Harvest, the funds raised through the initiative were distributed to Boys to Vikings, creating a second layer of impact within the community.

Boys to Vikings is a mentorship-based program that focuses on teaching young men essential life skills, leadership, confidence, and character development. The program works with boys at a critical stage in their lives, helping them learn everything from how to properly shake a hand and tie a tie to how to carry themselves with respect, discipline, and purpose. Boys to Vikings also supports positive decision-making, teamwork, and community involvement—skills that extend far beyond sports and into everyday life.

By directing funds to Boys to Vikings, this initiative helped support programming, resources, and opportunities that continue to shape young men into future leaders, both on and off the field.

At the heart of this initiative was Gabe Nabers, whose leadership and personal involvement brought the mission to life. Gabe actively promoted the initiative and personally participated in delivering the produce, reinforcing BLU4D2’s belief that athletes can—and should—play an active role in the causes they support. His involvement reflects the core of what BLU4D2 is about: using athletic influence to drive real, measurable community impact.

Thanks to the generosity of individuals, businesses, and organizations who supported this initiative, BLU4D2 was able to create a dual-impact campaign—providing fresh, healthy food to families through Second Harvest while also investing in youth development through Boys to Vikings.

Access to fresh produce is a critical part of food security, and mentorship is a critical part of building strong communities. This initiative addressed both needs, ensuring that support reached families today while also investing in the next generation for tomorrow.

This is the mission of BLU4D2 Sports Collective. We exist to connect athletes, supporters, and communities through produce-driven initiatives that deliver real results. From high school and college athletes to professionals and organizations, BLU4D2 provides the structure, logistics, and platform needed to turn generosity into action.

The Gabe Nabers Holiday Fresh Produce Initiative is just one example of what’s possible.
